Overview
Thiess commenced work at the brownfield operation in August 2015, providing turnkey mining services including, mine planning, explosives, drill and blast services, overburden removal, ore mining and technical support.
Thiess works with schools in the community... to enable improved learning and development outcomes for students.
A member of the BHP Group, Nickel West is a fully integrated nickel business comprising the Mt Keith, Cliffs and Leinster mines, the Kalgoorlie smelter, the Kambalda concentrator and the Kwinana refinery.
Together with our client and suppliers, Thiess is committed to creating authentic community relationships, developing business and employment opportunities, and building our understanding and respect for Indigenous culture and peoples in the Goldfields region.
Thiess works with schools in the community, including supporting the Northern Goldfields Interschool Sports Carnival, Leinster Community School and the Leonora District High School activities to enable improved learning and development outcomes for students.
